Market Scan

A market scan of the states where ‘caregiver’ kinds of job roles have aspirational value for youth will be done. Also, the temperament of the youth towards migration and working in the organized sector and basic educational level will be surveyed. The states/districts which have the convergence of all these factors will be identified as the ideal states/districts to mobilize the candidates. A profile of the desired candidates will be done in consultation with the industry experts.

 

Identification of Candidates

Awareness campaigns and other media of communication spreading awareness such as distribution of leaflets or pamphlets, advertisement in local newspapers and cable TV,

 

Selection& Orientation of candidates for training by employers

Selection of the right candidates as per the profiling done by AASTHAN ISET will be done.  Selection of participants from rural poor will be based on eligibility criteria such as education, age, motivation, record of employment/training and socio-economic background etc. mutually decided.

 

The Selection process will be three-fold:

Entrance test: A common entrance test for all the aspirants would be organized for screening. The process is that whenever a new course/batch is to start, the candidates registered for that course during the awareness camps or other medium are called for an entrance test. This is just an aptitude test with some basic general knowledge, aptitude, and Basic comprehension questions to ascertain their suitability for the job.

Counseling: Entrance test followed by individual counseling where the

actual condition of the candidate in terms of income, need for training, whether he/she is willing to make a career as a caregiver etc. are ascertained. Then based on merit cum means criteria, admissions are taken for the course.

One on One interview by employer’s representative: Once the creamy layer is obtained out of the candidates mobilized, they will have one to one interview with the industry representative to ensure that the candidate’s profile is in line with their requirement

 

Orientation: The employee’s representative will give a presentation about the employer’s profile and its’ operations. The employer’s representative will clarify the job profiles on offer, along with the detailed job description and salary package offered. The representative will then give conditional offers to the shortlisted candidates.

 

TRAINING METHODOLOGY:

Class Room Training

The course content will all be developed and delivered by AASTHAN ISET  in consultation with industry experts and as per the standards set up by the SSC. The course content will contain trainer’s manual, trainee’s manual, module-wise presentations, interactive activities, role plays and game based learning tools.  AASTHAN ISET will also set up a library which will have module-wise books and videos showing best practices followed in other countries, to give international exposure to the students. The course curriculum also includes communicative English module, life skills and IT skills.

On Job Training and Apprenticeship

The course curriculum will be designed by AASTHAN ISET  that it will be an appropriate mix of theory and practical inputs. 75% of the total inputs will be devoted for carrying out practical.

It is proposed to depute the trainees for on job training and apprenticeship program after successful completion of the course, during the training program they are exposed to the actual work site conditions, understand terminologies and get hands on experience of dealing with situations.

Employer Specific Training

The training will also cover employer specific training modules like company orientation, vision and achievements of the company, company ethics and policies etc. AASTHAN ISET will also facilitate interactions between candidates undergoing training and experts from industry for

Assessment and Certification There will be mid-term and end term assessments. The training will be assessed as per the norms and successful trainees will get a certificate.
